Clipper

from $200.00

Amboy, California | 2018

On a clear spring day, I returned to the iconic Roy's Motel & Cafe along old Route 66, driven by a different curiosity. Beyond the restored neon sign and the cafe, the real story lay in the decay behind the main building.

There, I found the remnants of the once-bustling motel and two vintage cars, abandoned and facing each other as if frozen in mid-conversation. Weathered by time and the elements, their rusted exteriors told stories of a different era, whispering secrets of the countless travelers who had once passed through.

Drawn closer, I could almost hear the echoes of those old conversations, as if the desert breeze itself carried tales from the past, begging to be uncovered.
